REDEMPTION

"SNAPSHOTS USA is a heartfelt meditation on the loss of the American Dream, a dream that died with the murder and maiming of protesting students at Kent State, May 4th 1970. Norman Weissman's novel records every point of view in a country torn apart by fear, prejudice and hatred in the 1960's and 70's, and bears witness to the loss of belief in government as the protector of freedoms and rights under law. A tale told through the eyes of a student-narrator, this is a novel that achieves greater truth and moral clarity than the mere recitation of facts, upon which the novel is based can ever hope to achieve. Yet the facts cannot be concealed forever and in our collective memory, Weissman believes lies the path to understanding and the possibility for national redemption."
